Just one year on and northerngroup's Flint Glass Wharf is clearly stamping its mark on the architectual landscape of Ancoats.

The new-build mixed use residential / commercial scheme will bring 136 contemporary canal-side apartments and 3 large retail / commercial units, with secure underground parking, to Ancoats Urban Village.

The structure is now complete and the contractors, Linford Group, expect that the full external envelope will be completed by Christmas. Internal fit-out will commence in January 2009, with completion expected Summer 2009.

The development will be setting new standards of quality in Ancoats with all apartments benefitting from a high specification and quality finish. Kitchens will include a full range of fully integrated appliances, and bathrooms will be kitted out by Porcelonosa with contemporary white sanitaryware and tiling.
