Construction of northerngroup’s Ice Plant development resumed in earnest this month despite the, perhaps befitting, icy conditions.

The mixed use residential scheme will involve restoration and conversion of the Grade II Listed Ice Plant buidling, a former Ice Making factory, into 82 high specification apartments and penthouses with quality commercial / retail space to the ground floor. The Ice Plant enjoys an enviable position in the heart of Ancoats Urban Village just a stone’s throw from the Northern Quarter. northerngroup build, the construction arm of northerngroup will be carrying the scheme through to anticipated completion in Summer 2011.
