Ancoats came to a standstill this week as the Dragons’ Den team strutted down the streets filming for their new series. The business bosses were filming the opening credits for the upcoming new series of hit BBC show Dragons’ Den in Ancoats and used one of the Penthouse apartments at Flint Glass Wharf in one of the sequences.

They also used the cobbled streets and historic mills there as a suitably urban-chic backdrop for the new series of the hit television show, which sees budding entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas in a bid to win cash off the team of tycoons, from left to right here, James Caan, Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones.
